Paul Jay speaks to Babak Yaktefar, Editor-in-Chief of washingtonprism.org about the call for punishment without mercy by a senior Iranian cleric at the Friday Prayers. Yaktefar says, “I doubt it would mean mass executions.” He goes on to say that instead, “the Supreme Leader, to be able to regain his authority, may come out and offer some form of pardon or reduction of sentences.”
