REGIS FERLAND: Mr. Jackson’s presence today along with Mark Ruffalo’s presence was great today. Their support’s greatly appreciated. Also, the attention that they’re able to gain from media that we’re not getting is just amazing in itself.

DIDI BANERGI: I think for myself anyways and talking to the people in camp, it brings and lifts their spirits up. A) they know major media is not covering this and we learned a long time ago that we feel safer when people from all over come and film us. I would hope that the military and people who make the decisions behind this absolutely horrific show of police force, once you have A listers and people who are civil rights leaders on the frontlines with you, I’m pretty sure that their superiors are probably saying hey, you know what? Leave it alone. Even if it’s for a day or two.

FERLAND: It brings the spotlight here more with mainstream media and we greatly need that.

JACKSON: We shall not, we shall not be moved. Just like the tree that’s planted by the waters. We shall not be moved. No more pipeline.
