Itch.io has begun selling A Good Bundle, a pay-what-you-want (as long as it’s $2 or more) bundle of up to 151 games, game dev tools and other intriguing creations, with all proceeds being split equally between nonprofit organizations Planned Parenthood and the American Civil Liberties Union.
It’s a nice show of support for two notable American nonprofits, one that’s especially impressive given the scope of involvement: A Good Bundle contains work from 115 creators, including game devs like Schell Games (Orion Trail), Florian Veltman (Lieve Oma) and Fourbit Friday (Catacomb Kids.)
According to the bundle’s homepage, the creators have come together to share their work in an effort to “combat some of the ugliness in our world.” The effort was organized with a bit of help from the folks at itch.io, including Spencer Hayes, Chris Dwyer and itch.io creator Leaf Corcoran.
Devs curious to dig into the bundle should know it’s broken up into three tiers of access based on how much you pay ($2 or more for the lion’s share of the bundle, $8 or higher for a bit more and $20 for the whole pack) and will only be on sale for a week.
